Occupying most of eastern Canada, the Quebec province borders the Atlantic, Hudson and James Bay, which makes this Canadian destination vast in natural beauty. Most flights to Quebec take travelers to the bustling cities of Quebec City or Montreal, but a quick trip off the beaten path will produce lush landscapes and breathtaking water views. Quebec boasts a French flare, thanks in part to more than 80 percent of the population who hail from French descent and speak the official language.
Covering such a huge area the climate of Quebec has wide temperature variations. In the south, where most of the population live, the weather is continental, with four seasons varying from hot summers (June to August) to cold, snowy winters and lots of rain. The central region has longer colder winters and shorter cooler summers, while the far north experiences a severe Arctic climate with a freezing winter and continuous permafrost.
Peak Season:
Spring and summer months are the most highly traveled times and when most people book flights to Quebec. The weather is mild, the colors are changing and festivals abound in the region. Fall is also a nice time to visit, but weather can get cold quickly.
Off Season:
Winter is cold in Quebec, but if you don’t mind the chill then find a cheap flight to Quebec and enjoy the snow-capped scenery.
