“In dreams I would see grand visions of sushi,” recalls Jiro Ono, master sushi chef and owner of Tokyo’s 10-seat Sukiyabashi Jiro restaurant. What a coincidence! So do we!

Not only do we absolutely want to see “Jiro Dreams of Sushi, ” a Tribeca-backed documentary, but we’re considering a trip to Japan solely to experience Ono’s $300-a-plate masterpieces. The National Garden? The Imperial Palace? Perhaps we’ll check them out, but only after a visit to 85-year-old Ono’s restaurant.
