As wedding season approaches, hotels in the Caribbean and Mexico are promoting packages designed especially for love birds. Here’s a round-up of some of the wedding travel packages available.
Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun wedding package include a gazebo or beachfront setting for the ceremony, wedding coordinator, wedding cake and sparkling wine for 10 guests, plus other amenities. The packages start at $799, but is complimentary when you book a junior suite ocean-view room for seven nights or more. Or, if five rooms are booked for three nights or more.
And if you like the resort, you’re in luck. The Cancun travel package also includes up to two free nights for your one-year anniversary.
Prefer Punta Cana? Dreams Palm Beach offers the same complimentary package as Secrets when you book a Honeymoon Suite for seven nights or more, or when five rooms are reserved for three nights or more. Upgrade options are available, as well. Booked separately, the packages start at $769.
Sandals Resorts, which has locations in the Bahamas, Jamaica, Antigua and St. Lucia, offers the “Carefree Wedding,” “Signature Wedding” or the “Family Ties Wedding.” Each one has unique perks, but all of them include a wedding consultant, location and reception. The “Carefree Wedding” package is free when you stay for 6 nights or more. Otherwise, packages prices vary by location, a la carte menu and government fees.
If you’re planning a wedding on the mainland, but want to escape to an island for your honeymoon, Sandals also offers several Caribbean honeymoon packages. While details vary based on the package you choose, many of them include breakfast in bed, turndown service, massage, private four-course dinner for two and more. Honeymoon packages start at $1,500.
