Looking for an enclave where you can kick back, relax a while and adjust your attitude for the trip ahead? A new spa – XpresSpa – has just opened at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). You’ll find it in Terminal D.

On offer are sinus and stress relief (all that dry aircraft cabin air can play havoc on sensitive sinuses), back and shoulder massage, full body massage, manicures, pedicures, and facials. This reporter’s favorite: foot reflexology. Try it, and you’ll float down the concourse to your next flight.

XpresSpa operates seven days a week at IAH, and it’s open from 7am to 11pm on each of those days. Spa prices range from $12 to $110 depending on what you need. The lower end of that range competes nicely with a couple of drinks at the bar, and it could make you feel a whole lot better throughout the rest of the day as alcohol helps dry you out even faster while aloft.

XpresSpa operates 19 spas at nine airports across the country. By year’s end the company says it hopes to have 34 spas up and running in the United States, Mexico, and Europe.
