The Netherlands might have hostels in boats, but Sweden took it one step further. The new Jumbo 747 Hostel, located at the Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, exists inside a Boeing 747 jumbo jet that just happens to have 74 beds, 25 rooms, and a 24-hour staff.

Another important fact: It won’t leave the ground while you’re sleeping.

Early-morning Sweden flights just got easier. Just a 10-minute walk from the check-in counters, this modern accommodation makes early-morning flights much more convenient. Skip the 4:00 a.m. wake-up call and stay here the night before.

Flat screen TVs show arrivals and departures, and Wi-Fi access is available everywhere. Most rooms run about $50 per person, per night – an easy fare for a good night’s sleep in a jumbo jet. If luxury is what you’re after,  the Cockpit Suite, located on the plane’s upper deck, boasts its own private bathroom and will set you back about $265/night.

Travel to Sweden to check it out. Book your room through hostelworld.com.
