As one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and one of the most popular vacation spots in the U.S., the Grand Canyon is certainly a majestic sight to behold. The nearly 2,000-square-mile park embodies all the beauty nature can create, as seen in the 266 miles of rolling canyons that reach the Colorado River a mile below.

The South Rim draws the most visitors, thanks to its easy access to sweeping viewpoints of the Grand Canyon. The North Rim offers a cool experience with more greenery to liven up the views, while Grand Canyon West lets you take in the canyon from above with a walk along the Skywalk, a glass-bottom bridge that lets you gaze directly down into the depths of the canyon. How you explore the canyon is up to you: You can hike into the canyons along one of the many trails, go whitewater rafting along the bottom of the canyon or take it all in from above with a helicopter tour.

No matter how you choose to enjoy the Grand Canyon, you’ll never forget a sight like this. Before you go, take a look at this natural wonder for yourself with this photo tour of the Grand Canyon.
