When it comes to supporting their hometown of Chicago, Illin., the Obama’s know no limits. Case in point: First Lady Michelle Obama’s upcoming trip to Copenhagen to support Chicago’s bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
The International Olympic Committee will meet on Oct. 2 to hear bids for the four candidate cities: Chicago, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo.
The Obama’s have pledged to continue to work to support Chicago’s bid to host the games.
Chicago has never hosted an Olympics. However, according to a list from About.com, Athens, London, and Paris all hosted the summer Olympics on more than one occasion.
