Passengers flying from Boston Logan International Airport will soon be able to take advantage of several new restaurants as part of a terminal upgrade.

Almost $11 million has been spent refurbishing the food concessions hall in the airport’s busy Terminal B. Seven outlets are set to open before Thanksgiving

Celebrity chef Todd English is to open his latest venture, Bonfire, at the airport tomorrow, reports The Boston Globe.

Offering sit-down breakfast options, the restaurant will be joined late next week by Legal C Bar, a seafood restaurant from Roger Berkowitz.

Berkowitz had previously opened a trial restaurant at the Legal Test Kitchen at Terminal A in 2005 to measure how well passengers would respond to fine dining at an airport.

He told the newspaper: “What we found over the years is airports are a good way to test new concepts because you have a very discriminating clientele in terms of their food preferences and they have good discretionary income.”

English recently compiled a new range of in-flight food options for Delta Air Lines, and has announced plans to open restaurants in five airports over the next 18 months.
