Happy Holi everyone!
The beloved Hindu festival is the most colorful around. In addition to singing, dancing and bonfires, the defining characteristic of this celebration is the tradition of playfully sprinkling colored powder (aka gulal) and water amongst crowds. It is a ritual to welcome spring and celebrate colors.
The multi-day affair is primarily observed in India and Nepal, though ceremonies can be found all over the world.
