Flights booked with Spirit Airlines by 11:59pm EST tonight (Wednesday, May 2) will cost from just one cent, in a sale launched to mark the advent of a new promotional program.
One-way journeys with the low-cost carrier from Fort Lauderdale to Guatemala City, San Juan in Puerto Rico, Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, or Kingston in Jamaica will cost just a cent on select travel dates through next year (before taxes and extras are added).
The rock-bottom fares are to celebrate the introduction of a new program known as Spirit Top Picks, which will circulate the best flight, hotel, and tour deals to its customers each Tuesday.
“With Spirit Top Picks, we are offering our customers the opportunity to take advantage of the best travel deals available from our partners,” explained Michael Pewther, Senior Director of Sales at Spirit.
This week’s pick of the bunch is accommodation at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and Casino on the tropical island of St Maarten, the Netherlands Antilles, from five cents per night.
