If ever there was an airport that needed fast-track security it’s Denver International, where lengthy lines can move with glacial speed.
Recently, Cheapflights reported that DEN would be taking steps to make security at the Rocky Mountain megaport saner. One key piece of that puzzle is opening Clear Registered Traveler lanes that allow members to pass through with somewhat less hassle (essentially, far less chance of secondary screening).
Flyers start their application process at www.flyclear.com and, in Denver, complete it at the Clear enrollment center at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center. Bring along two pieces of government-issued ID (passport and driver’s license are best). Hyatt is hosting the registration from 7am to 4pm daily. Clear plans to open an enrollment station at the airport in mid-December.
After the application form is completed, there will be a background check. Get your fingerprints and iris image registered, pass the check, pay a $99 fee and you’re a member. Clear expects to open its Denver operation in early January.
So far, Clear says enrollment for its DEN launch is going very, very well.
