To complete its new one-stop shop for frequent fliers, Delta Air Lines has partnered the car rental group Avis, and promises bonus miles for combined bookings.
The Atlanta-based carrier recently unveiled an enhanced online reservation system, which allows SkyMiles members to secure travel insurance, book a hotel room, and hire a vehicle while organizing flights.
As part of Delta’s partnership with the Avis Budget Group, frequent fliers will now be rewarded with 1,000 bonus miles and 1,000 Medallion Qualification Miles if they secure a hire car at delta.com, or via a Delta agent, through August 31.
“Offering two quality rental car brands and a deep understanding of our customers, Avis Budget Group now adds greater value for millions of SkyMiles members through our preferred partnership,” said Jeff Robertson, Managing Director of SkyMiles.
“Together we continue to offer exciting incentives and even more opportunities for our customers to earn travel-related rewards.”
The Avis Budget Group is the parent firm of Avis Rent A Car and Budget Rent A Car.
Qualifying rentals of three to ten days with Avis can earn frequent-fliers up to 5,000 bonus miles. Rental discounts of up to 25 percent also apply.
