Airport security fast pass system Clear opened its new lanes at Oakland International yesterday (Thursday, March 27). All three airports in the Bay Area now offer regular air passengers and Clear pass holders the opportunity to pass through security faster.
Members of the Clear program are pre-screened by the Transportation Security Administration and are provided with an identity card which enables the use of Clear’s express security lanes at airports across the country.
Steve Grossman, Director of Aviation for the Port of Oakland, said: “We are pleased to partner with Clear to bring this important service to our customers.
“Oakland International Airport’s frequent travelers will benefit by enrolling with Clear because they will enjoy more predictability and less stress at the passenger screening checkpoints.”
There are seven Clear enrollment stations in the Bay Area, with six in various terminals at the three airports and one in the American Express Travel Office in downtown San Francisco.
