AirTran Airways has signed a new agreement with car rental service Hertz.

The three-year deal will allow A+ Rewards members to earn additional frequent-flyer miles when renting from Hertz.

Credits will be available on qualifying rentals when a valid A+ Rewards number is presented at Hertz reservation desks.

AirTran customers will also be able to organize rentals using the AirTran Web site or when booking flights over the phone.

Tad Hutcheson, Vice-President of Marketing and Sales for AirTran Airways, said: “Through this agreement, AirTran Airways has the ability to offer Hertz cars in all of our locations to our loyal customers, and our A+ Rewards members will continue to have an opportunity to earn credits while renting from Hertz.”
