San Diego International Airport (SAN)
This is the nearest airport to San Diego. Shuttle vans, buses and taxis leave from one of three islands in front of the terminals. The cheapest option downtown is Metropolitan Transit System Flyer Route No. 992, which departs every ten minutes between 5am and 12:50am, and will drop you at most downtown businesses and hotels.
McClellan-Palomar Airport (CLD)
McClellan-Palomar Airport is too far for a taxi, but a series of buses can get you into the city in under 2 hours. Renting a car at the airport will cut your commute to under an hour.
