Access to the Islands extends way beyond Honolulu (HNL) in lots of flyers’ plans. To that end, Delta Air Lines and Hawaiian Airlines have struck a reciprocal frequent-flyer deal.
If you’re a HawaiianMiles member, you can earn and redeem miles on all Delta flights – system wide. If you’re a member of Delta SkyMiles, you can earn and redeem miles for travel on all interisland flights operated by Hawaii within the State of Hawaii. That opens up some in-demand destinations.
Delta SkyMiles’ members can accrue base miles, and class of service and elite tier bonuses on eligible “fares of flights” operated by Hawaiian. HawaiianMiles members earn miles flown in Delta Coach Class, and miles – plus a 50 percent bonus – flown in Delta Business or First.
Click on Delta’s Online Award Calendar, the section dealing with Award Travel on Hawaiian Airlines. Search for Hawaiian seats by price or schedule, and determine the availability of outbound and return flights.
