We’re more than a week into 2015, which begs the question: How’re those New Year’s resolutions going? Are you still ditching the daily Starbucks and dodging those cigarette breaks?

If you’re holding tight to your willpower, you may already be well on your way to saving up for your next trip. According to our latest survey, more than 60 percent of Americans make resolutions, and of those resolution makers, almost 70 percent stick with it for a month or longer. Our research shows the most common things Americans want to give up this year are smoking, soda and ordering takeout for dinner.

The upside to giving up our vices? Keeping these resolutions can lead to more money in your pocket. In fact, if you cut all three of these indulgences out of your life for just one month, you’d net (on average) more than $335! In travel speak, that’s a weekend stay at a four-star hotel in a major U.S. city, people!

So, we set out to see how all this savings can set you on a course to snagging a trip. Find out where you can go when you stick to your guns on those resolutions. You’ll be rewarded with a very sweet prize: some extra cash to travel!
