InterContinental Hotels has announced the opening of a new Crowne Plaza Hotel in Chicago following a $16 million refurbishment.

The Crowne Plaza Chicago-Northbrook is located just nine miles away from Chicago O’Hare International Airport – easily accessible for travelers on Chicago flights – and recently underwent an extensive transformation from a Radisson.

As part of the renovation work, the hotel’s 19 meeting rooms were redecorated, marble floors were added to communal spaces and a new fitness center was installed.

The 318-room hotel boasts 15,000-square feet of meeting space available for guests to use for corporate events or business events. Each room has a flat-screen TV and all guests can access the 24-hour business center.

Gina LaBarre, vice president of brand management for Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts in the Americas, said: “We’re pleased to bring the sixth Crowne Plaza hotel to the Chicago market.

“There are several businesses in the Northbrook area that will benefit from the meetings-savvy services that only a Crowne Plaza can provide.”
