I paid for first class and it was nothing more than a 36" long curtain between first and business class, nothing extra, nothing fancy and a waste of money. Would have been better off just getting a regular seat and saving the money. Also had one of my eardrums rupture because of the take off and had to sit in uncomfortable pain with a bleeding ear the entire flight. Had to go to the doctor and it's been 5 days and still having difficulty hearing like it just happened.

Maryland is fortunate to have a seasonal climate in its mildest capacity. Winter here lasts from December to February and it gets chilly, but never uncomfortably cold, and snow rarely makes an appearance. When it does happen to snow – even an inch or two, some schools shut down for the day, clearly unprepared for the frigid precipitation. September to October enjoy temperatures in the 60’s and it is an especially beautiful time to visit for the orange, red, and yellow foliage. The summer months of June, July and August are the most attractive time for most visitors, when the waves crash against the sand, and the boardwalk welcomes people from all over the country to enjoy the warm weather.
While the area enjoys mild weather all year round, most people book Ocean City flights during the summer months between Memorial Day (last Monday of May) and Labor Day (first Monday in September) to enjoy everything that the shoreline offers.
Peak Season:
The best time to book flights to Ocean City is undoubtedly the summer time. Pack sandals, sunglasses, and a hat, and spend your days on the beach, and nights strolling the jovial boardwalk.
Off-peak Season
December to February call for the most precipitation all year round, so the waterfront and outdoor activities that you once enjoyed in the summer are either no longer open, or not as enjoyable in the colder temperatures. If the chill doesn’t get you down though, you’ll most likely be able to book cheap flights to Ocean City during its off season.
The Ocean City Municipal Bus Service, which runs up and down the beach all day, can give you a ride after a long and stressful day sunning yourself. Buy a day pass to save some money. Ocean City doesn’t have much public transportation, but you can easily get to nearby cities like Wilmington, Washington DC and Baltimore aboard a coach. Trains are frequent and you can buy your tickets at the station.
Ocean City Pier Rides: One of the most exciting parts of the boardwalk, and what could possibly be the most appealing part of visiting Ocean City for younger travelers, is the group of Ocean City Pier Rides that sprawl alone the shoreline. Attractive to older children and teenagers, these rides are not only fun and thrilling, but also offer great views of the beach from their heights. Sunset is undoubtedly the most popular time to ride, and fortunately for locals, the rides change seasonally, so you’re always surprised by what’s running next season. As a testament to tradition, the Ferris wheel and the carousel never change. Rides are open until midnight.
Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art: This quirky little collection might not be the utmost reason to book Ocean City flights, but it certainly makes its mark on the land, and gets a reaction out of viewers. Years ago, Lem and Steve Ward decided to make a showcase out of their hobby to carve wooden replicas of wild gaming birds. Now, their project has become the largest collection of contemporary classic wildfowl art in the world. Situated on the edge of Schumaker Pond, the museum has the perfect wooded location to also provide a wildfowl sanctuary habitat, which is one of its proudest feats. Galleries within the establishment are dedicated to the history of decoy making and show a long line of Native American reed figures. If you plan your Ocean City flight around April time, you’ll even be able to catch the Ward World Championship Carving Competition.
Eagle’s Landing Golf Course: If you’re packing the clubs on your flight to Ocean City, then you’ll be happy to know that the Eagle’s Landing Golf Course is one of the most beautiful courses in the area. The natural scenery here is so beautiful that it is actually said to distract some golfers – so beware of what its bewitching beauty can do to your stroke. A public course, this 18-hole sprawl offers club rentals (in case you didn’t pack them after all), private lessons, and practice facilities. After your long day on the green, relax with a cocktail and delicious dinner at the cozy clubhouse restaurants. Reservations are recommended.
Horse Racing Ocean Downs: If you have a competitive spirit inside you, but aren’t willing to physically compete to fulfill the urge, then head straight to Ocean Downs. Plan an Ocean City flight in the months of July and August to see 10 harness races Wednesday through Sunday nights in the summer. The kid-friendly atmosphere and a welcoming environment are centered on the training, ability, and skill of the local horses and drivers. Grandstand seats are free, and clubhouse seats are extra, but no matter where you sit, you’re sure to have a memorable time.
