The seats are just SO UNCOMFORTABLE it completely ruins the experience, especially on a redeye. I was so exhausted but couldn’t sleep a wink because it was just so incredibly uncomfortable. I don’t know who designs airplane seats, but they’re curved forward, forcing your body into a slouching position. Please. Please please get new seats. Also ones that actually extent to the bulkhead so that when you try to lean against the wall, you don’t just fall through the gap

Travelers planning a visit to Champaign, Illinois, should ensure their identification complies with current U.S. travel requirements. Domestic travelers will need a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or another approved form of identification for air travel within the United States. International visitors must have a passport valid for at least six months beyond their intended stay in the U.S. Depending on the traveler's nationality, a visa or ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) may also be required.
The primary airport serving Champaign is the University of Illinois Willard Airport (CMI), offering flights to major hubs such as Chicago O'Hare (ORD) and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). Due to the regional nature of CMI, direct flights are limited, and connecting through these larger airports is common for both domestic and international travelers. It’s recommended to book flights in advance, particularly around university events or during holiday seasons, as these times can see increased travel demand to and from the area.
In Champaign, as in much of Illinois, there is a strong emphasis on protecting agricultural resources and local ecosystems. Visitors should be mindful of regulations regarding the transport of certain agricultural goods, including plants and seeds, as well as any materials that might pose a risk to local crops and wildlife. Inspections may occur at the University of Illinois Willard Airport (CMI) to ensure compliance with these regulations. Familiarizing yourself with these rules before traveling can help support the region's agricultural health and ensure a smooth visit to Champaign.
