We arrived early and checked in. The lady at the counter was very rude to us, we believe it’s because we are a mixed race couple. I asked if we could upgrade our seats and she immediately said no upgrades. We walked away with our boarding passes without looking at them. Later we look at passes and she changed my seat. Now we’re not sitting together after my husband bought our seats. We were assigned 9A and 9B, which we paid for. Now I’m in 9E. I went to the care point counter and the person who helped me said she couldn’t put me next to my husband, because he didn’t purchase 9A. I showed her our paperwork and the price we paid for the seats and her response was there’s nothing she could do. I then waited to speak with someone at the gate. The person I spoke with looked at our receipt and changed my seat to 9C. As we’re sitting waiting for boarding I needed to use the restroom, but the person who was there for security pulled the retractable belt barrier right in front of me and said I needed to hold it. I stood there for 5 minutes and then just sat back down…no one even walked by. I did Not like the way that I was treated and we will never fly Turkish Airlines again. If a trip we’re taking causes us to fly Turkish, I would have to think do I want to be treated this way again. There’s no reason to be treated this way Ever. Shame on Turkish!
