1. On 3rd June 2024, when I was on the boarding gate at Accra, one of the attendants said I should go back to the counter to pay USD $150.00. I have to run back to immigration check and to the counter. On arrival the manager said that they were not required to take any money from me since I was not a first time traveler. I came back running so that they don’t close the gate. However, the manager made sure that they allowed me to board. 2. On 7th June, my return flight was scheduled to leave 8:20am from Johannesburg to Addis Ababa. The airport security checks delayed me since there’s limited access. On arrival at the boarding gate the gate was closed but the flight was still there. I explain to the airline attendant at the gate but they didn’t mind me and refused allow me to board. My issue is that this was the first time I was in that country and there’s no alert as to how the security checks can be frustrating. I have no option than to rebook another flight to Accra which cost me additional $ 381.00.I have no money left on than to call home to borrow money to pay in Accra. 3. On arrival at Addis airport with the new flight ticket, and was given a very bad hotel infested with insects and bugs called Hera Addis hotel, the dinner was really bad and I have to sleep without food. The breakfast was a well bad but I have to manage with that. The travel from the hotel to the airport was also delayed. As well as the boarding bus was also delayed. The flight was scheduled to leave 8:40 but was also delayed due to boarding and have to leave after the scheduled departure time. The flight left after 9:20am from Addis Ababa Airport to Accra. 4. I am of this view that you should compensate me on the flight challenges and improve your services. I miss an important meeting in Accra because of these issues.
