We reserved a full size vehicle for our quick trip down to W Palm Beach. When we arrived, there were two customer service reps, one of which was running from his station to the other trying to appease both customers. Four more customers were in line and each one was told "we have no cars available" and "the wait time was going to be two hours". By the time we were helped at the service counter, same story, no car...but, we can upgrade you. We HAD to have a car because we had a time commitment upon arrival so we took the upgrade - went from a Malibu (or like kind) to a Ford Escape (smallest SUV on the lot). Next thing I know, $114.30 upgrade charge later, we drive out of the lot. Totally unacceptable - we reserve a car, you expect to get a car upon arrival. If there is nothing available in our reservation category, then give us a free upgrade to the small SUV. What was a $70 reservation for two days turned into $184 and the vehicle was at best, the same size, maybe smaller than what was ordered. Never again dollar, never again.
